Bob is a former board member of the United Way, former President of the American Lupus Society, and an Life Member of the San Diego Air and Space Museum.

Bob Wright is also a former executive with Technicolor and Fotomat.

At one point in his career, Wright owned the largest hi-fi and record store in San Diego, Wright's House of Hi-Fi on El Cajon Boulevard. And, one of most popular camera stores, California Camera in Kearny Mesa.
